Requirements – Teachers

  • Masters/Bachelors  with specialization in subject area required for the CSEC/CAPE at the Academic section.

  • Masters/Bachelors  with specialization in subject area required for the Vocational levels at the PSVE section.

  • Teaching Certificate is required

  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills

  • Must have at least two (2) years teaching experience (within the CXC context is an asset)

  • Must be computer literate

  • Committed to Excellence

 

Requirements –  Counselor

A Master's Degree in Psychology, with specialization in Therapy/Counseling.
 

Counseling, Supporting,  Training, Diagnostic Skills, Reporting,  Consulting, Guiding and coordinating, Psycho-social emotional development programs.

 

In Summary, the Counselor guides and supports students, and indirectly guides the teachers and leadership by addressing psychosocial problems of students, by providing assistance to the formulation of policy planning and development. The role is one of confidence and confidentiality.

System Administrator and Assistants

​

FAVE BOARD MANAGEMENT– SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR  DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Administering and implementing all computer-related technologies, including network security,  IT infrastructure of the organization, related applications, hardware, internet operations and software upgrades. The Systems Administrator is responsible for  the optimal operation of all computer systems at the St. Maarten Academy, both campuses, the Academic and PSVE campus, additionally, this position includes the supervision of two Systems Administrator Assistants

 

Requirements for the Systems Administrator

  • Masters/Bachelor’s degree or higher in a computer-related subject like management information systems, information science or computer science

  • Must possess a solid background in Networking

  • Leadership and decision-making abilities

  • Must be able to demonstrate teamwork abilities including assigning and tracking work of Systems Administrator Assistants

  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills

  • Experience in BYOD schools a plus

 

Requirements for the Systems Administrator Assistants

  • Assistant's duties include configuring hardware and software, setting up peripherals such as printers or routers, repairing equipment, and providing daily support for computer network users

  • Associate degree or higher in a computer-related subject like management information systems, information science or computer science

  • Great attitude, patience, willingness to learn and an excellent team player

  • Excellent communication skills

 

The Systems Administrator and Assistants will work together as a team. Must be in possession of work permit.

 

 

The Foundation for Academic and Vocational Education (FAVE) has vacancies for the following teachers for the academic school year 2020 -2021 for the Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination program (CAPE).

 

  1. Computer Science, Information Technology & Digital Media   

  2. Physics ( ability to teach Chemistry and/or Biology would be an asset)

  3. Entrepreneurship

  5. Sociology

 

Requirements

  • Master's  Degree with specialization in subject area required

  • Must be in possession of a Teaching Certificate  

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Must have at least two (2) years teaching experience (within the CXC/CAPE context is an asset)

  • Must be computer literate

  • The ability to work well in a team environment

  • Committed to Excellence

  • Must be a legal resident of ST. Maarten
