The Foundation for Academic and Vocational Education (FAVE) has the following teaching/staff for the academic school year 2024 -2025

​

    Principal - Must have experience planning, developing policies, coordinating the daily operations, providing leadership to staff,
             
               executing, analyzing, evaluating, representing and leading
 

       Requirements for Principal

  • Master of Education from a recognized and accredited University

  • Teaching Diploma

  • Must have at least 3 - 5 years experience

  • Must be responsible

  • Flexible

  • Have a broad theoretical and practical knowledge in the education field

  • Knowledge and insights in CSEC/CXC/CCSLC/CAPE curriculum

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office - specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

  • Must have excellent written communication and interpersonal skills

  • The ability to work well in a team environment as well as lead the team

  • Committed to excellence

  • Perform any other related duties as required by the Board of F.A.V.E.

  • Preference for a Dutch citizen or legal resident of St. Maarten

    Teachers​ - Must have experience teaching at the CSEC and CAPE levels

​

  • Social Sciences - (Social Studies, Caribbean Studies)

  • Music / Drama

  • Performing Arts / Drama

  • Spanish (CXC experience capable of teaching CSEC and CAPE levels)

  • Visual Arts

  • Chemistry (CXC experience capable of teaching CSEC and CAPE levels)

  • School Coach


       Requirements for Teachers

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized and accredited University is required with Specialization in subject area

  • Teaching Diploma

  • Excellent oral, written Communication and Interpersonal Skills

  • Must have at least 3 years teaching experience within the CXC context

  • Must be computer literate

  • Must be a team player

  • Knowledgeable in teaching on various digital platforms

  • Must be willing to upgrade themselves and keep abreast with innovations in education

  • Preference for a Dutch citizen or legal resident of St. Maarten

 

     CAPE Coordinator

 

       Requirements for Cape Coordinator

  • Master’s Degree in Education from a recognized and accredited University is required 

  • Teaching Diploma 

  • Must have at least 3 - 5 years experience at the CAPE level

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office - specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

  • Must have excellent written communication and interpersonal skills

  • The ability to work well in a team environment as well as lead the team

  • Committed to excellence

  • Perform any other related duties as required by the Management and Board of F.A.V.E.

  • Preference for a Dutch citizen or legal resident of St. Maarten

    Administrative Assistant / Archiver

​

       Requirements for Administrative Assistant / Archiver

  • Bachelor’s or Associate Degree from a recognized and accredited University is required

  • Must have at least 3 - 5 years experience working in the educational field

  • Provides a broad range of administrative support to the  school

  • Takes minutes at staff meetings

  • Ensures that students files are organized

  • Ensures a digital filing system of school records

  • Performs head count at the end of August and beginning of June each academic year

  • Tracks students and staff absenteeism

  • Produces monthly absenteeism reports

  • Emails staff their individual absenteeism report by the 5th of each month

  • Assist with transcript preparation

  • Registration of new students

  • Performs any other related duties as required by Management

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office - specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

  • Must have excellent written communication and interpersonal skills

  • Perform any other related duties as required by the Management and the Board of F.A.V.E.

  • Preference for a Dutch citizen or legal resident of St. Maarten

    Scheduler/Webmaster/Student Tracker​

​

    Prepares class substitute and exam schedules; make recommendations on curriculum needs; build and maintains website

   

       Requirements for Scheduler, Quickschools Technician and Webmaster

  • A Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in Information Technology or related field (cybersecurity, web design, web development or computer science)

  • Must be able to do scheduling and enter schedule in the system

  • Track student data, grades, update Management

  • Disseminate report cards

  • Create report trackers and track information among other duties and responsibilities as needed by the school

  • Administrative writing skills

  • Professionalism, confidentiality, and organization

  • Reporting skills

  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Must have experience in both roles
