VACANCIES 2021-2022

The Foundation for Academic and Vocational Education (FAVE) has vacancies for the following teachers/staff for the academic school year 2021 -2022


TEACHERS for the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC/CXC) 

  1.   Dutch – Full-time (experience teaching at the upper levels would be an asset)

  2.   French Substitute teacher from mid-November 2021 to end of February 2022

  3.   IT/Business Substitute teacher (must be qualified to teach both subjects).
    Part-time employment until October 22, 2021


Requirements – CSEC Teachers

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree with specialization in subject area is required for the CSEC/CXC

  • Teaching Certificate is required

  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills

  • Must have at least two (2) years teaching experience within the CXC context

  • Must be computer literate

  • The ability to work well in a team environment

  • Preference for a Dutch citizen or legal resident of St. Maarten

 

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

 

The Administrative Assistant provides assistance to all functions within Management administration. 

 

The duties and responsibilities include

  • Provide a broad range of administrative support to the Management of the school,   such as filing, typing, copying, binding, scanning etc.

  • Take minutes at meetings

  • Coordinate meetings between Management and staff

  • Complete Ministry documents and submitting them in a timely manner.

  • Man the switchboard

  • Enter data

  • Prepare letters

  • Maintain inventories

  • Other clerical duties

The chosen candidate must be able to support the team by performing tasks related to organization, exhibit polite and professional communication via phone, email and mail.

Education Requirements

  • At least an Associate degree in Business Studies or equivalent High school diploma or equivalent

  • At least three years of administrative assistant experience

  • Knowledge of appropriate software, including Microsoft Suite 365,  

  • Knowledge of the Dutch language is an asset
